Hobbs returns to guide Highlanders vs Canes

The Highlanders have named fit-again Michael Hobbs in place of Matt Berquist for their clash against the Hurricanes this weekend at Carisbrook in Dunedin.

Still troubled with injuries the Highlanders were not able to name a host of players for this clash.

Jason Macdonald is out this week with an Achilles tendon injury while Jamie Mackintosh is still out with his "turf toe" injury.

Tom Donnelly's ankle injury keeps him out for the week while Sean Romans and Nasi Manu are both ruled out with hamstring injuries.

With all of the injuries wider squad players Peter Mirrielees and Scott Cowan have been drafted on to the bench.

The Highlanders were thrashed 41-27 by the Force in their last outing at Queenstown in their last outing and had the bye last weekend.
